Salut!

Hi!
As promised in my last article, I show you the first costume finished from Game of Thrones: my Khaleesi's dress.
I love Daenerys targaryen, that's my favorite character in the TV show and like a lot of people I felt in adoration in front of the dress she wears in Qarth.
I'm not blond (as the character) and not as thin that Emilia Clarke (the actress that has the role) but if you look good at the party scenes in Qarth in season 2 we can easily see that ALL women of the congregation have the same type of dress, only changes the color, the presence or absence of a pattern and some details of the belts.
So I decided to make a dress with the same design, but in a different color and without jewellery on the belt.
The parts of the shoulders and the belt, which are made basically in metal, I cut them into linoleum ... yes the floor covering... No, I'm not crazy, it's just very easy to work, it's painted well, it has some strength and is flexible. I'm not a blacksmith and I don't know even one in my friends so I had to find an interesting, alternative to metal, not expensive and does not create me tendonitis during the works. In fact I think I will reuse this kind of material one day
The dress itself is a very simple construction: two dress overlaid with simple geometric cuts.
To achieve this dress, it needs 4,50 m of sailing synthetic pre pleated chiffon and a piece of linoleum of 20 cm x 1 m.
If someone ask me, I will be happy to make a tutorial that I will send on request. If you are interested, thanks to let me know :-)
