Halloween 2015 : Lady Coeur-de-Pierre (Game of Thrones): La robe-manteau / Lady Stoneheart (Game of Thrones): The gown

Après présentation du tissus pour la robe de Lady Coeur-de-pierre j'ai attaqué le gros du travail!

J'avais donc testé le patron (le M4491 de chez McCalls, voir ici: http://gettingoutofthecloset.over-blog.com/2014/06/agot-3eme-robe-le-patron-agot-3th-dress-the-pattern.html ), je l'avais testé jusqu'à la taille pour économiser un peu de tissus.

J'ai donc prolongé les pièces en partant de mesures trouvées sur le bureau... Une grande idée comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo ci-dessous...

Hello Reader!

After the presentation of the fabric for the Lady Stoneheart dress I attacked the big part of the work!

I have tried the pattern ( M4491 by McCalls, see here: http://gettingoutofthecloset.over-blog.com/2014/06/agot-3eme-robe-le-patron-agot-3th-dress-the-pattern.html ), I tried it to the waist to gain some fabric.

So I extend the differents pattern parts working on measurements that I found on my desk... What a good idea as you can see below...

Eh oui! Il manque 25 cm!

J'ai du faire un raccord, j'ai l'impression de ne voir que ça!

Sur le coup ça m'a énervée!

Soit...

J'ai corrigé le tir pour les parties constituants le devant et voici ce que ça donne sur le mannequin!

Yes it's too short of 25 cm!

I must made a connection and I have the impression that we can see only that!

At this time I became furious!

So...

I correct my mystake for the parts making the front parts and here is how it looks on my dummy!

... J'ai vraiment l'impression qu'on ne voit que la jonction...

J'ai fabriqué et posé l'unique décoration de la robe: le passepoil!

C'est un biais (de coton dans ce cas-ci) dans lequel se trouve une cordelette.

Je pensais que ça serait très long à faire mais non pas du tout, en fait ça m'a prit moins d'une heure pour faire tout le passepoil nécessaire.

Une fois posé ça donne ça!

... I really have the impression that we only can see the connection...

I made and sew the only decoration of the dress: the piping!

That's a fabric strip (in coton in that case) in wich there is a small rope.

I was thinking that will be long to make but not at all, in fact it tooks me less than one hour to make all the piping necessary.

When it's sew on it looks like this!

J'ai fais l'ourlet de la robe avant de passer aux manches.

Pourquoi?

Parce que je déteste faire les ourlets! Je hais vraiment ça et je les fais trop souvent la veille du jour où je dois porter les vêtements. Cette fois j'avais décidé que ça serait différent! C'était bien plus motivant de le faire une fois intégré à ce niveau de la fabrication du vêtement.

Je reviens aux manches!

Après un test dans du tissus de chez le suédois, j'ai coupé les manches dans le bon tissus et les ai cousues à la robe.

Et c'est... Fini!

I made the hem before working on the sleeves.

Why?

Because I really dont like to make the hem of clothes! I really hate it and I make them very very often the day before the day I will wear the clothes. This time I decided that it was different! That was more motivating to do it at this time of the process.

I come back to the sleeves!

After a test in Ikea fabric, I cut the sleeves in the good fabric and sew them to the dress.

And That's it!

Elle est prête a être portée!

Elle a quand même un volume qui me plaît énormément et pour une robe-test elle se défend plutôt bien!
J'en suis même assez contente!

This dress have clearly a beautifull volume and even if it's a test-dress it looks pretty good!

I'm even happy with it!
