Rétrospective 2016

Bonjour Lecteur!

Fin 2016 j'ai totalement oublié de faire la rétro de l'année écoulée, je vais donc corriger ça!

En 2016 j'ai cousu assez peu, j'étais plus préoccupée par les procédures d'achats de la maison, la mise en place des travaux et le début des travaux en eux-même mais j'ai quand même commencé plusieurs tenues.

Si je devais placer l'année 2016 sous un thème ce serait "victorien". Je voulais aborder ce thème depuis fort longtemps et l'occasion s'est enfin présentée... Avant d'être annulée! Mais ça n'est que partie remise.

Voici donc la rétrospective de mon année 2016!

In the end of 2016 I forgot to make the retrospective of the year so I will make it now!

In 2016 I sew less than the year before, I was woried with the buying of the house, the setting up of the works and the works itself but I began a few outfits.

If I must to place this year 2016 under a word it would be "victorian". I was wanted to make some victorian outfits for years and the occasion was there... Then collapsed! But It will comes back, I hope it!

So here is my 2016 retrospective!

En janvier je reprenais doucement l'année en faisant un stock de hamac pour nos animaux.

Malheureusement le rat domestique que l'on voit sur cette photo nous a quitté quelques mois plus tard... RIP Haribo :'(

In january I began gently by sewing some hamac for our pets.

Sadly the fancy rat on these picture left us few monts later... RIP Haribo :'(

En mars j'ai débuté ma première tenue victorienne!

J'ai débuté par la chemise et j'ai choisi de faire le patron maison!

In march I began my firt victorian outfit!

I began with the shift and choose to make an home made pattern!

Au mois d'avril j'ai continué les dessous de ma tenue victorienne.

Ici il s'agit de l'ancêtre de la culotte féminine, le patron est tiré du Peterson's magasine!

In April I continue the victoriance underwear.

Here is the split drawers out of the Peterson's Magasine!

Toujours en Avril la queue d'écrevisse a suivi!

J'ai utilisé le tuto disponible sur le blog d'American Duchess pour le faire et j'ai ajouté des fronces.

Still in April the lobster tail has followed!

I used the tuto available on the blog of American Duchess and add ruffles on it.

Au mois de mai je faisais le jupon de la tenue.

Doté d'une traîne, d'une décoration simple en ruban de satin et d'un système pour remonter la traîne il s'agissait en réalité du test d'un patron tiré de Pattern of Fashion 2 de Janet Arnold en vue de réaliser la jupe.

In May I made the petticoat.

It has a train, a simple decoration made of satin ribbon and a system to lift up the train it is a test of a pattern take out Pattern of fashion 2 of Janet Arnold, I use the same pattern to make the skirt.

La jupe a, elle aussi, été faite en mai en suivant le même patron que pour le jupon.

The skirt was also made in May following the same pattern than the petticoat.

En juin, je faisais une surjupe pour la tenue victorienne.

In june I made a overskirt for the victorian outfit.

En juillet je brodais et fabriquais un sac pour une amie créatrice.

In July I embroidered and made a tote bag for a friend.

En août je faisais un jupon beaucoup plus court pour une tenue plus simple.

Il n'est décoré que par quelques plis religieuses dans le bas.

In August I made a petticoat lot shorter than the first one for a more simple outfit.

It is decorated only with a few pleats in the bottom.

Le jupon va avec une tenue de jour, elle aussi faite au mois d'août.

Une tenue très simple mais je voulais essayer un patron et ce me semblait une bonne approche de la fin de la période victorienne.

Après le mois d'août nous avons commencé a travailler dans notre maison je n'ai donc plus eu autant de temps pour coudre ou prévoir de la couture.

C'est donc tout pour l'année  2016!

2017 devrait voir la fin de la tenue victorienne bleue ainsi que la réalisation d'une tenue pour un évent med' fan.

The petticoat works with a day outfit, also made in August.

A very simple outft but I was wanted to try a pattern and it seems to be a good idea to approach the end of the victorian era.

After August we began to work into our house and I wasn't having time to sew.

So it's all I made during 2016!

2017 must seen the end of the blue victorian outfit and the making of an outfit for a med'fan event.
