Mon planing n'était pas encore assez chargé.../ My planing was not busy enough...

Bonjour Lecteur!

Comme tu le sais maintenant mon Fiancé et moi achetons une fermette (en entier, je le précise, on emménage pas dans un appartement fait DANS une fermette) mais le déménagement, les travaux, l'installation et la décoration de la maison ce n'était pas assez!

On a rajouté des choses au planing!

J'ai été invitée a un évènement en costume par une amie. C'est une de mes périodes historiques préférée qui est concernée: l'époque victorienne!

Depuis des années je me dis qu'un jour je me ferais une robe victorienne et là j'ai l'occasion d'en faire une et de la porter pendant une après-midi durant laquelle j'intègrerais un groupe qui visitera des musées.

J'ai arrêté mon choix sur une robe dont on trouve le patron dans le fameux "Pattern of fashion 2" de Janet Arnold, il s'agit d'une robe à transformation (dont un dessin se trouve en haut de l'article et dont une photo se trouve en bas de l'article) conservée à la Gallery of English Costume et qui se constitue d'une jupe, d'une sur-jupe, d'un corsage de jour avec des manches 3/4, de rallonge de manche (pour les avoir longues au besoin), d'un plastron pour réduire le décolleté à néant, d'un corsage de bal sans manches et décolleté et d'un genre de ceinture décorative sur laquelle se fixe une basque. Soit huit pièces si je compte bien!

S'ajoute à ça la réalisation d'une chemise en coton, d'un nouveau corset, d'un petit pantalon ainsi que d'un jupon et un cache corset. Ah oui! J'allais oublier! Il me faudra une tournure aussi! Suis-je bête j'allais l'oublier!

Si j'avais déjà la jupe, la sur-jupe, la ceinture avec la basque et le corsage de jour je serais déjà bien contente. Au pire le reste peut se faire par après mais pour une sortie en journée une tenue de jour sera nécessaire.

Un gros projet encore avec une deadline pour début juilet!

Nooooooon jamais c'est ambitieux mais j'ai jusqu'a cet été pour atteindre l'objectif!

Si j'ai le temps d'ici à cet été je sortirais aussi du placard mon projet de cotehardie mais je suis pas sûre que d'ici là j'aurais réussi à la caser quelques part...

En fait je ne suis même pas sûre de la masse de travail qui nous attend mon fiancé et moi. Tout dépendra de ce qu'on découvrira au fur et à mesure de l'avancée des travaux de la "nouvelle" maison (j'ai du mal a parler de nouvelle maison... La construction s'est terminée en 1900... Notre "nouveau" chez-nous a donc plus d'un siècle). Donc les travaux peuvent aller exceptionnellement vite comme ils peuvent durer des mois... J'espère cependant pouvoir faire la sortie victorienne en juillet.

Voila donc se qui se tramait en coulisse!

Hello Reader!

As you know now my fiancé and I are buy a small farm (we buy it entirelly, we're not moving into a small appartement make into a small farm) but the moving, the works to do in the house, the decoration of this house it was not enough!

We have added some things to the planing!

I was invited to a costume event by a friend. It's about one of my favourite historical period: the victorian era!

Since a lot of time I want to make a bustle gown and now I have the opportunity to make one and wear it during one entire afternoon!

I made my choice! I will make one presented into "Pattern of fashion 2" by Janet arnold, it's a transformation gown (there's a drawing in the beginning of this article and a picture of it in the bottom) keep at the Gallery of English costume and made with a skirt, a over skirt, a day bodice with sleeve going a bit under the elbow, two pieces to make longer the sleeves, a partlet to make disapear the cleavage, an evening bodice with cleavage and no sleeves and a belt with decoration that felt on the hips. So 8 parts!

With that I will need a chemise in coton, a corset, split drawers, a petticoat and a corset cover. Oh yes! before I forget! I will need also a bustle!

For the event if I had just the skirt, the over skirt, the day bodice and the belt I will be verry happy! It's a day event so I will need a day gown!

So a big project, again, with a deadline on the begining of july!

If I also have the time I will try to make me my cotehardie for the medieval events of this summer but I'm not sure I will have the time to do it...

In fact we are not even sure about the mass of work to do in the house. All will depend about what we found into the house after the begining of the work into the "new" house (it's hard to speack about a "new" house when speaking about a house that was build on 1900, so this house is older that hundred years). So works can go really fast.... Or not! But I hope that I will be able to go to the victorian event in july!
