Brocante: butin / Flea market: What I found

Je vais peu sur les brocantes, je ne vais qu'a deux ou trois sur l'année. Mais à la brocante du village d'origine de mon Fiancé j'y vais à chaque fois et je trouve souvent des perles!

L'année passée j'avais acheté un encrier ancien en métal ouvragé avec tout ses accessoires, l'année d'avant c'était un rouet en état de marche pour 5 euros et cette année avec un budget de 20 euros je suis revenue avec les bras bien chargés!

Je suis tombée sur deux sacs vintages! J'adoooore les sacs vintages! J'avais sur moi mon sac trouvé dans une brocante il y a quelques années, un sac en cuir tressé havane et noir (photos en bas de l'article) et j'ai été surprise de voir deux sacs du même genre mais pas en cuir, en osier et rotin! A raison de 3 euros/pièce je les ai pris tout les deux.

Le plus petit sac est une pochette en rotin tressé fermé par pression sur une lanière de cuir, elle peut être portée à la main ou sur l'épaule grâce a une chaînette dorée attachée sur l'intérieur. Une poche intérieure, doublure en cuir. Le tout est en excellent état! Vraiment heureuse de cette trouvaille!

Le plus grand sac est en osier tressé (non ce n'est pas pareil que le rotin!!!) fait environ 20 cm X 20 cm et est renforcé de cuir havane, les anses sont en cuir havane aussi. Dedans une petite poche zippée, la doublure est tâchée et dans un sale état, je vais devoir la changer. Pour 3 euros j'ai pas chicané sur l'état de la doublure d'autant plus que ça peut se changer.

Le gros achat de cette brocante a été une machine à coudre ancienne! une Singer fleur de Lotus 66 k (fabriquée au Royaume-Uni au début du 20eme siècle). Elle est en parfait état de marche et fonctionne toujours (je l'ai essayée avant de l'acheter). Elle fonctionne grâce a une manivelle qu'il faut tourner et a l'avantage (contrairement aux machine à coudre ancienne à pédale) d'être transportable. Dans la foulée j'ai d'ailleurs trouvé sur Ebay la partie en bois qui va avec, il y avait un support vendu avec la machine mais ce n'est pas celui d'origine et il est dans un très sale état. La machine quand a elle est sale, a besoin d'un bon nettoyage (logique elle est centenaire! En 100 ans elle aurait pu être plus amochée encore) et les motifs spécifiques de ce modèle sont relativement bien conservé. J'ai acheté cette petite merveille au prix de ... 10 euros!

Au final avec un budget réduit je me suis fait plaisir et je me suis aérée. Ce fut une belle mâtinée agréable et cette brocante n'a fait que me confirmer qu'on est jamais a l'abri d'une bonne surprise dans ce genre de ventes.

I dont go often on flea markets, I do a couple of them over the year. But at the flea market of the village of my Fiancé we go every time and I often find "pearls"!

Last year I bought an old metal inkwell with all its accessories, the year before it was a spinning wheel in wonderfull state and working still well for 5 euros and this year with a budget of 20 euros I came back with a few beautiful things!

I found two vintage bags! I really love vintage bags! I had with me my bag found in a flea market a few years ago, a braided leather bag tan and black (photo in bottom of the article) and I was surprised to see two bags of the same kind but not in leather, in wicker and rattan! At a rate of € 3 / piece I took them both.
The smaller bag is in woven rattan and closed by a pressure on a leather strap, it can be carried in the hand or over the shoulder with a gold chain attached on the inside. An interior pocket, leather lining. Everything is in excellent condition! Really happy with this find!

The larger bag is woven wicker (no it's not the same as rattan !!!) is about 20 cm X 20 cm and is reinforced with tan leather, tan leather handles. Inside there is a small zippered pocket, the lining is stained and in sad state, I'll have to change it. For 3 euros I have not baffled about the state of the lining especially cause I can change it.

The big purchase of this flea market was an old sewing machine! a Singer Lotus Flower 66 k (manufactured in the UK in the early 20th century). It is in perfect condition and still works (I tried it before buying). It works with a crank to turn and has the advantage (unlike the old sewing machine with pedal) to be transportable. The same day I also found on Ebay the wooden part that goes with it; even if there was a sold support with the machine, this is not the original one and it is in a very bad state. The machine is dirty, needs a good cleaning (it is logical 'cause the machine is centenary! In 100 years it could have been even more banged up) and the specific decorations of this model are relatively well preserved. I bought this little wonder ... at a price of 10 euros!

Finally with a reduced budget I enjoyed myself and I enjoy fresh air. It was a nice and pleasant day with this flea market has only confirmed me that we are never safe from a good surprise in this kind of sales.

Voici un de mes sacs vintage préféré (celui que je portais hier)! L'extérieur est tout en cuir et la doublure n'a rien (sauf que sur la photo il y a un élastique a cheveux parce que oui j'ai des cheveux!). / Here is one of my favorite vintage bags (the one I was wearinf yesterday)! The exterior is all leather and the lining has nothing (except that in the picture there is an elastic for hair because yes I have hair!).

La pochette en rotin, rien a redire sur son état! / The rattan pouch, nothing to say about its state!

Le sac en osier, la doublure est vraiment usée! Puis elle est moche! Mais c'est pas grave ça se change! / The bag in wicker, the lining is really worn out! And it's ugly! But it does not matter it can be changed!

La fameuse Singer Fleur de Lotus 66 k! J'en ai rêvé! Je l'avais vue plusieurs fois sur internet sans même oser rêver en toucher une une fois dans ma vie! Maintenant j'en ai une! A moi! / The famous Singer Lotus Flower 66 k! I dreamed of it! I had seen it several times on the internet without even daring to dream to touch one once in my life! Now I have one! It's mine!!
